Active Dry Yeast is all natural and has been for generations in yeast dough. It's suitable for traditional baking and bread making machines. Bagley Farm's Active Dry Yeast is best stored unopened or in a sealed container in the refrigerator or freezer. It is should be at room temperature when using.
Active Dry Yeast is dissolved in liquid before using:
- Rehydrating Dry Yeast before using gives it a “good start” – the yeast feeds on the sugar allowing it to become very active and ready to work in your dough.
- Water is recommended for dissolving yeast.
- Dissolve 1 tsp sugar in 1/2 cup 110°F-115°F water.
